Blooming with Kindness

The Blooming with Kindness stamp set was one of my must have stamp sets from the new SU! catalog. It comes with this pretty flower and five sentiments.

I've already pulled it out several times to make cards. With this card I paired it with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. Embossing folders and ribbon are my favorite crafting items. Speaking of ribbon, there is a new ribbon in the catalog, stitched grograin. Super cute!

Blooming with Kindness Clear-Mount Stamp SetI hope you enjoyed my simple card today, I will be back to share my other cards soon but for now I need to work on my blog hop projects for next week.

Aviary

Avairy isn't a new stamp set but it hadn't seen any ink for a while so I brought it out. This is one of the projects we made at stamp club this month. I used a couple of the new In Colors because I wanted my club ladies to fall in love with the new colors and the new firm foam ink pads. I think I was successful.

Don't you just love that polkadot paper? I do, but then again I am a polkadots kind of girl. This pattern paper is from the Patio Party DSP. The new catalog also has a set of papers that are all polkadots, I guess you know who will be buying that DSP. Hope you enjoyed my card today, I will be back with more.

Summer Smooches

Tomorrow is the first day of Summer, although with the heat it feels like Summer started days ago. I'm not a huge fan of Summer but I sure do like all the Summer Smooches collection from the new Catalog.

These cute little flowers make me wish I had a green thumb, instead I am more like the grim reaper of plants. I have never managed to keep a plant alive. I always end up forgetting about them and forget to feed them. I guess its a good thing my kids have good lungs. Ha Ha! Well these Summer Smooches flowers will just have to do for me.

June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June Blog Hop! Hopefully you are enjoying all of the wonderful creations or if this is your first stop, you are in for a treat!

This month is full of graduations, I think I know 7 Graduates, so for my 3D project I decided to remake the Graduation box that I made last year but with improvements. Last year my lid kept falling off.

I used the Petal Cone die for the box. I cut the box at 2 inches so that the peak of the box was no longer there. I then attached a 3.5" x 3.5" card to the top. The Card opens up and a personal message can be written. Since Graduation gifts usually include money or gift cards I wanted the hat to open up so I made a hinge under the card with some card stock. I used a brad to hold the tassel. This project did come together rather quickly and I hope I am explaining this project well. Just in case you need a visual, I took some additional pictures for you to see just how this card/gift holder works.

Here you can see how the top of the hat is a card. The weight of the tassel keeps the card closed.

Here is the card opeded up. I put two pieces of Whisper White card stock on each side of the card, one to write a message or stamp a message to the Graduate and the second one to hide the whole and brad prongs.

This picture shows the inside of the box where the money/gift card can go.

I just love this cute Grad cap idea. It sure beats a regular ol' graduation card.

(I picked up tassels at my local Walmart in the craft area.)

Items Used: Big Shot, Petal Cone, Midnight Muse & Whisper White Card Stock, Brad, and a white tassel.

My second project is a card using some of the New items from the 2012-2013 Catalog.

The Vintage Wallpaper isn't new but it is one of my favorite go to embossing folders. I embossed the Whisper White and then I used my brayer to add Summer Starfruit to the raised areas. I then cute a piece of Summer Starfruit with the new Apothecary framelit die, I stamped my Congratulations image with the new Layered Labels Stamp set, which was also die cut with the Apothecary framelit. After layering those together I used dimensionals to pop them up on the card. At the last minute I die cut the Butterfly and added him with a glue dot and a mini pearl.

Items Used:
Stamp Set- Layered Labels
Card Stock- Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Early Espresso
Ink: Summer Starfruit
Accessories- Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Apothecary Framelit, Early Espresso Marker, Summer Starfruit Marker

Well I hope you enjoyed my creations and don't forget to keep hopping. Tonya Ball has some great projects to share with you.

Betsy's Blossom Thank You

Another Betsy's Blossom card. I am loving Summer Starfruit. I know not everyone is a yellow lover but I personally love yellow. I even chose yellow bridesmaid dresses for my bridesmaids when I got married back in 2004. I own several blouses and sweaters in yellow too. So now that you understand that I love yellow you'll understand why I am using this new In Color so much.

I also used the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set and the Itty Bitty Banners Framlits too. I just love this simple set and these cute banners. They are the perfect little touch to any project. The background is embossed with the Strips Embossing Folder and I used a brayer to add ink to the raised strips. Cute and simple.

Well I am off to hopefully get some more stamping done for my Stamp Club this Thursday. Also make sure to stop back by on Thursday for the June Stylin' Stampin' Blog Hop.
