Paisley Box

It feels good to be able to post a new video, the past few weeks have been super busy and I just couldn't get anything done. I am trying to get back to my normal routine but life has been busy so it has been hard. Time management is always a hard thing to stick to but it must be done or nothing gets done.

Anyway, today I am sharing a video on how to make a box that holds a Hershey bar, yum! I hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires you to be creative today!

Cookie Cutter Halloween Treats

The Cookie Cutter stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog are just so cute. I'm sure they are going to be one of the top selling items this year. I've already used the Halloween set several times in my crafting.

Today's project was inspired from a little box I found at a hotel I stayed at this summer. It held a shower cap in it but my little box holds a couple Ghirardelli chocolates in them. Chocolate is way better than a shower cap. Anyway I brought the little box home to use as a template and these cute little guys are what I created.

To make the box you will need a piece of card stock or DSP cut at 5.5" x 7".
Score on the 7" side at 3/4", 11/2", 4", & 4 3/4"
Score on the 5" side at 2 3/8" & 4 5/8"
The belly band is 1/2" x 7" strip of card stock
The largest circle is a 2" circle.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Enjoy the video tutorial and have a great day!

Feather Together

The Feather Together stamp set is so pretty and has some pretty sentiments too. Today I paired this set with the Timeless Texture stamp set to create a fun background. The Timeless Texture background is so fun to work with, it has several different background images that are fun to mix together.

I hope you enjoy the video and have a great day!

Foxy Friends Treat Box

The Foxy Friends stamp set is just too cute! It was definitely on my wish list from the moment a saw the new annual catalog but I thought I could hold off on ordering it for a little while but I was wrong and ended up ordering it just a couple weeks later.

I decided to use it this week for one of our stamp club projects. I knew I wanted to create a treat holder and so I used a KitKat as my starting point. I created an open top box for my club members to make and it was very fun but the more I looked at the box it kept reminding me of a pack of playing cards so I decided to recreate the box with a flip lid. To see how I made this box make sure to watch my video.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Thoughtful Branches School Notebook

I made another Thoughtful Branches project to share with you today with a completely different look. This time I decided to use the tree for a Back to School look. School has already begun for a few in my area and my boys go back next week so I have school supplies on the brain. I've been trying to figure out some cute Back to School projects to give to teachers and my boys. This little note pad is so cute.

I found some small note pads at the Dollar Tree and decided to cover decorate them because that is what us crafters do best. Below you will find a video with step by step instruction. I hope you enjoy it!

Marquee Messages Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Today I want to share with you a video I made showing how to make a Shaker Card with the Marquee Messages stamp set. Shaker cards are so fun to make and they aren't very hard to do either.

The most important part of a shaker card is the depth you need in your window piece, this is all made possible with the new Adhesive Foam Strips by Stampin' Up! and of course some sort of sequins or confetti.

Flamingo Favor

Today I shared the second version of the Flamingo Treat Box on my IG & FB and thought I might as well add them to my blog. My blog gets forgotten about most days just because it takes a little more effort to write up a post.

Last Tuesday was stamp club and the Flamingo Treat Box was one of the two projects we made. Luckily no Flamingo legs were lost in the process of fussy cutting the flamingo. Haha! My club/card class members love when I have them fussy cut, that is why they keep coming back, right?

Well one of my club members wasn't able to make it but I had already prepped my projects so afterwards I had some extra supplies all cut and ready to go so I put myself to a challenge. I decided to switch up the stamp sets but use the same materials. This was a little hard for me when it came to the Weather Together Treat Box, at one point I think I almost just gave up. Then I decided I couldn't quit.

So here is my Weather Together Treat Box, these would be awesome for a Bridal Shower. It is raining love! I'm glad I didn't quit and worked it out because even though I probably would have never grabbed this set for a treat box, it shows its good to think outside the box every now and then.

Dear Friend

The Bloomin' Hearts stamp set has got to be one of my all time favorites out of this year's Occasion Catalog. I have stamped with it more than any other stamp set I've purchased lately.

I stamped the flower image and colored it with Blushing Bride and an aqua painter. I used old Olive for the leaves. After I was all finished I decided to fussy cut the image. That took a little bit but it was worth it. I stamped the dear friend in basic black on a circle from my circle framelits and then matted it with a larger circle from my framelits. The flower is popped up with some dimensionals.

I knew I wanted a white background with small black polka dots but I didn't have any DSP like that so I looked through my stamps and didn't really find what I was looking for, then I realized I could use the small stamp from this set to create my background. I stamped it about 50 times but it was worth it! I matted it onto basic black card stock and then I added the strip of Blushing Bride and some Whisper White Cotton Ribbon.

I love the way this card came out, now I just need to send it to a dear friend.

Get Well Soup

It is flu season and if you are like me, you probably know a few people that have come down with that nasty bug, so why not make them something cute.

I originally saw something similar created by fellow demonstrator, Pam Steckman and knew I needed to case the idea.

These craft bags are so convenient for many ideas and occasions. Although they were a little longer than the packet of soup and I wanted my soup packet to stick out just a little. This caused a little delemia because I didn't want to cut off the top and loose the decorative edge, I could have used my Treat Bag Thinlits to create one but I was being lazy, and then I got an idea.... Cut off the bottom!

So I did just that, I cut a little off the bottom and scored about 1/2 inch up, folded in the edges, and glued it down with my tear tape. Problem solved.

I used a strip of lost lagoon for a belly band and added an embossed piece of whisper white to the bag. After that I stamped and colored my image. I decided I didn't like the black heart on the front of my bowl so I punched a circle to cover it up and then punched a heart in lost lagoon and popped it up on the circle. After that I decided it needed a little something more so I colored the heart with my clear Winka Stella. It adds the perfect sparkle! I love the Winka Stella, if you haven't purchased any, you must add it to your next order!!!

Well that's all for today, see you next time.

Bloomin' Heart

I created this card a couple weeks ago and I can't remember if I was using a card sketch or just using random pieces on my desk. I sometimes cut out a piece of card stock or a die cut but then decide against it. I throw these pieces into a pile and every now and then I create cards only using those pieces. This helps declutter my desk a little and I don't feel like I've wasted my precious paper. Haha!!! I know we all struggle with this.

This Bloomin' Heart card can be used as a wedding or anniversary card. It could even be used as a Just because I love you card. It is a simple yet pretty card. All supplies can be ordered from my website and if you order $50 or more in product before March 31st you can earn free Sale-A-Bration items, how awesome is that?

Contact me if you need more details.

Be Mine

It's been a while since I've blogged but I thought I would take it up again and share my creations. These days I mostly share on my Instagram page and my Facebook page but thought there might be a person or two that miss my ramblings.

Well anyway, you are here to see and here about my projects so I guess I'll share the details. I took one of the Craft Bags and cut off the bottom to make the bag shorter without losing the detail at the top of the bag. I then re-secured the bottom of the bag. I then added a belly band around the bag. I cut a slit in a doily and then fan folded it to add behind the 2.5" circle along with some gold foil thread. I stamped the circle with heart image from Bloomin' Love stamp set and popped it up with dimensionals. I thought it still needed something so I added some die cut flowers with rhinestones to the heart. It was the perfect touch.

I just love the way this project turned out. I hope you like it too!
