Memories

This morning my Husband woke me up at 3:24 AM to tell me Happy Anniversary. Eric was getting up for work but as for myself I was enjoying my sleep, anyway at least he remembers our anniversary.

When I woke up this morning a little after 7:00 AM I started thinking about our wedding day 5 years ago. That day started out just fine but then turned into a nightmare when I went to run a quick errand and when getting ready to return home my car wouldn't start, within minutes I got a call that the bridesmaids went to pick up their dresses and the lady hadn't finished them, and the old fashion car that was going to drive me wasn't going to be coming. Yes, I cried my eyes out but thankfully I have good friends and family that helped me out. Thank goodness for Grandma Mary, uncle Joe, Ralph, Chris, Crystal, & Jesus because they made it all come together and worked out the ugly details so I could go and get ready for my wedding. I am so glad that you only have to plan a wedding once!

So here I am 5 years later and I am happily married to my best friend. I thank God for sending me a good ol' Christian man. He is perfect for me. I love you Eric and I am looking forward to spending many more years with you. Happy Anniversary!

No Stamping

I created this quick and simple card this morning and believe it or not but there is no stamping at all on this card. I used last weeks Card Sketch Challenge from Splitcoststamers.

A quick card was right up my alley since I have a busy week with church, my 5th wedding anniversary, Quickutz Club, Scrapbook Class and work of course. Oh, well next week will be a different story since Eric and I will be on vacation. We aren't to sure what we will be doing on our vacay but I think Disneyland will take up a day or two!

I probably won't get to make any more cards this week because I need to focus on my scrapbook class that is coming up on Saturday. Which will be a great way to spend National Scrapbooking Day. See everyone that signed up on Saturday morning at 10:30 AM.

Happy Tuesday!

Products: new designer series paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog, Basic Grey Corduroy Button, Big Shot Daisy die cut, Baja Breeze card stock, Cameo Coral card stock, and Whisper White card stock.

Golden Oldies

I bought this stamp set because I found it amusing. I wasn't even sure who I would use it to make a card for, I still don't know who this card will be for but I thought I better get out this new stamp set and ink it up. Maybe I will send it to my Father-in-law for his Birthday. The sentiment is from the Birthday Count from the Under $10 page in the Catalog, I earned it free with my $40.00 order from the Mini Catalog.

Supplies:
Golden Oldies Stamp Set
Birthday Count Stamp Set

April Stamp Club

Since there was some scheduling conflicts with one of my club dates I am having both of my Stamp Clubs back to back this week. Last night was my Monday club and tonight is my Tuesday club.

This is what we will be making tonight. We will be using the Matchbox die, the Scallop Circle punch, Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper, and the Great Friend Stamp Set. The card layout is from last Wednesday's Card Sketch Challenge at www.Splitcoaststampers.com

Two of the ladies in my club tonight have a birthday today, Happy Birthday Stacey and Cyndi! Hope you have a wonderful day. What a great way to spend a birthday, creating a card and a little box with chocolate. See you tonight.

Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder

I finally had some time to play with a few of my new toys. I used the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder with my Big Shot on Vellum paper and sponged Summer Sun & Riding Hood Red ink behind the vellum. My favorite roses are the yellow ones with the red tips so that is how I chose my colors today. I also used the new Scallop Oval Punch with the Oval All Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I wish I would have done a better job with my blending of the colors but I was trying to get this done before work today and I guess I didn't pay that much attention to my blending until after I glued it all together. Oh well.

If you don't know already, SU! is having a special promotion from now until the end of the month, when you purchase $40.00 or more in product from the Occasions Mini Catalog you can choose a free item from the Under $10 page from the Spring Summer Catalog on page 208.

Have a great day!
