You should have just left stop number 8 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop -Bree R. of Craft-SomniaIf so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

This month's blog hop is all about the New Annual Catalog and some of our favorite new products. I chose to use the new stamp set Well Worded along with the new Mustache framelit and large Polkadot Embossing Folder. You could probably sell me anything with polka dots so it s no wonder that the new embossing folder was one of the first things on my order.

I know mustaches have been popular for a while but I pretty much had ignored them until recently. When I saw that the mustache had a framelit to match I knew immediately I would order it. These items make for great masculine cards for birthdays or Father's Day.

Oh' I almost forgot to mention I used the new Alphabet Rotary Stamp for my greeting. This thing is awesome. You can use it to spell out so many different words or phrases. If you didn't plan to get one I think you should change your mind and order one ASAP!

We'll I hope you like my card and all the new products used. Make sure to hop on over to Heidi B. of Stuck on Stampin' for more inspiration and ways to use the new product.

Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop April

Welcome to the April Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop. This month is all about Kids which is great because I have a few of those and am always needing ideas for their birthdays or their friends birthdays. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's creations because they're always awesome! As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog! We are always excited to hear from our followers! You should have just left stop number #13 on the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop - Kim R. of Stamping with Kim. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find the full blog hop lineup below.

I decided to go with a Super Hero theme because I have three boys and they love all things super heroes. When the Occasion's Catalog was released one of the first stamp sets I ordered was Cool Kid because I knew it would come in handy with my boys. I may have had Captain America on the brain as far as colors went because I chose to use Real Red, Pacific Point, and Daffodil Delight. It is Bright and cheery. I used the Starburst Framelit as a layer because it most resembled those burst you see with the words POW! in them. This card is perfect for the next little boys birthday party we attend.
Items Used:
Stamp Set- Cool Kids
Paper- Fresh Prints DSP, Pacific Point, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink- Basic Black, Pacific Point, Real Red
Tools- Big Shot, Starburst Framelits, Circle Framelits
For my second project I decided to make this cute little matchbox that I used my Punch Board to make. I saw a video on YouTube by Diane Dimich on how to make the matchbox and you can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApIzFP9m_fY These boxes are easy to make and only require a 6x6 piece of card stock or DSP. I can use these for party favors with candy or to tuck a special little gift into.

Well I hope you enjoyed these Super Hero kid projects. Don't forget to hop on over to Stampin' with Darla and Sisters and the rest of the blog hop participants blogs, you will be filled with inspiration!

Vase of Flowers

Here is another project to help you fall in love with the Spiral Flower Die.

I found these cute little vases at my local 99 Cent Only Store. Two came in a package so they were only 50 cents! I made 5 flowers with card stock and Fresh Prints Designer Pack and attached them to floral wire. I placed them in the vase and added some Chevron Burlap Ribbon. I thought I would add a couple of stamped images from the Language of Love stamp set to the front of the vase. What a cute little gift for your friends or family. I took one to my sister to put on her desk, I'm so glad she loved it.

This project was one that my Stampin' Up! downline made at our Crafty Night Owls team meeting in January. If you are interested in joining Stampin' Up, I would like you to be apart of my team the Crafty Night Owls. If you join Stampin' Up!during Salabration you will only pay $99 for $150 in product and all the business supplies you need to get started. Whether you join to get a discount on product or you join to build a business, I welcome you to join the Crafty Night Owls! Contact me today.

Roses

Like I previously mention, I'm in love with the Spiral Flower die. I make 56 flowers and glued them to a 4 inch foam ball and then put it on this 4 inch white vase. I looks absolutely beautiful and these flowers won't die!

If you don't own this die, I think you should purchase one today! Don't forget we are in the middle of Sale-A-bration so if you spend $50 on merchandise you will be able to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Contact me for more info.

Mason Jars

I had some mason jars up in my cabinet for about a year, I finally decided to do something with them. This was the project we created at Stamp Club in January.

I have to admit that I am totally in love with the Spiral Flower die. I can't stop making those cute little flowers. The Fringe scissors have to be another favorite of mine too. I love the look of the finge flowers and the scissors make the process so quick and easy. Since I'm confessing my love for craft items I will tell you that I also love the chevron burlap ribbon, it is so nice and easy to work with. I will have to buy more and hoard it, I mean use it on everything!

Stylin' Stampin' Squad January Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for our January Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop!  Love is in the air and our talented group of design team members have a Whole Lotta Love Goin' On as we are excited to be sharing some NEW Occasions Catalog goodies and some Valentine's Day projects with you this month!

As you hop along, please be sure to comment and show some love on every blog!  We are always excited to hear from our followers!

You should have just left stop number 8 on the Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad  blog hop Jamie H. of Unique Ink. If so, you are in the right spot. If a link doesn't work or you get off track, you will find  the full blog hop lineup below.

For my first project I decided to use one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Catalog, Happy Congratulations. It is such a cute set and I used the color pallet from the Fresh Prints DSP stack.

There are so many cute prints in the Fresh Prints DSP stack but I chose to use some of the polka dots sheet. I tend to lean toward polka dots when ever they are available because I love them. The card layout was something I saw on Google images, I failed to follow the link to see where it came from so I apologize for not having that info.

Items Used:
Stamp Set- Happy Congratulations
Paper- Fresh Prints DSP, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Coastal Cabana Card Stock
Ink- Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Basic Black

For my second project I decided to make a new Scrapbook page for my frame. I've had a Christmas page in there for a year now and I figured it was about time to update it with something more versatile since it is displayed in our living room.

I decided to make some of those fringe flowers with the new Fringe Scissors from the Occasions Catalog. Now these flowers are a little bulky so I probably wouldn't make them for a scrapbook page I was going to put in my scrapbook but since my frame is shadow box type of frame, it was worked just fine. I also used the Spiral Flower die to add some small flowers to the page. I love the colors and the combination of flowers. I planned to use a picture of my husband and I but I forgot to print it, so I used a picture of my boys with my niece and nephew. I love the way it turned out and it will be proudly displayed in my home for a while.

Items Used:
Stamp Set- Baby Prints
Paper- Fresh Prints DSP, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Coastal Cabana Card Stock
Ink- Real Red
Other- Big Shot, Fringe Scissors, Spiral Flower die, Large Rhinestones

I am alive

OK so it has been a while but I am alive. Back in October I had our third little guy, Brycen Cole. He came a little early but thankfully he was just fine. I decided to take a little break and gave myself till January to get adjusted and back to creating. Well it is January, well January 8th to be exact and I've gotten back to work. I stayed up the past couple nights, first cleaning up my craft room and then creating. I have Stamp Club this week and I have the monthly Blog Hop I participate in so ready or not I had to get to it.

I wanted to create something simple to begin with so that I could feel productive and get my creative mind working. I decided to use the Sweetheart Treat Bags which includes 12 heart sacks, 12 die-cut labels, and 12 pre-cut pieces of Pool Party Baker's Twine. I decided to decorate by using some hearts from Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and the little flag is stamped with Follow My Heart Stamp Set. AfterI filled the bag with some candy, I tied the bakers twine and added my embellishments. Cute, simple, and fast.

Well that is all for today, make sure to come back tomorrow for the Stylin' Stampin' Squad Blog Hop.
