The Bloomin' Hearts stamp set has got to be one of my all time favorites out of this year's Occasion Catalog. I have stamped with it more than any other stamp set I've purchased lately.
I stamped the flower image and colored it with Blushing Bride and an aqua painter. I used old Olive for the leaves. After I was all finished I decided to fussy cut the image. That took a little bit but it was worth it. I stamped the dear friend in basic black on a circle from my circle framelits and then matted it with a larger circle from my framelits. The flower is popped up with some dimensionals.
I knew I wanted a white background with small black polka dots but I didn't have any DSP like that so I looked through my stamps and didn't really find what I was looking for, then I realized I could use the small stamp from this set to create my background. I stamped it about 50 times but it was worth it! I matted it onto basic black card stock and then I added the strip of Blushing Bride and some Whisper White Cotton Ribbon.
I love the way this card came out, now I just need to send it to a dear friend.

Get Well Soup
It is flu season and if you are like me, you probably know a few people that have come down with that nasty bug, so why not make them something cute.
I originally saw something similar created by fellow demonstrator, Pam Steckman and knew I needed to case the idea.
These craft bags are so convenient for many ideas and occasions. Although they were a little longer than the packet of soup and I wanted my soup packet to stick out just a little. This caused a little delemia because I didn't want to cut off the top and loose the decorative edge, I could have used my Treat Bag Thinlits to create one but I was being lazy, and then I got an idea.... Cut off the bottom!
So I did just that, I cut a little off the bottom and scored about 1/2 inch up, folded in the edges, and glued it down with my tear tape. Problem solved.
I used a strip of lost lagoon for a belly band and added an embossed piece of whisper white to the bag. After that I stamped and colored my image. I decided I didn't like the black heart on the front of my bowl so I punched a circle to cover it up and then punched a heart in lost lagoon and popped it up on the circle. After that I decided it needed a little something more so I colored the heart with my clear Winka Stella. It adds the perfect sparkle! I love the Winka Stella, if you haven't purchased any, you must add it to your next order!!!
Well that's all for today, see you next time.

Be Mine
It's been a while since I've blogged but I thought I would take it up again and share my creations. These days I mostly share on my Instagram page and my Facebook page but thought there might be a person or two that miss my ramblings.
Well anyway, you are here to see and here about my projects so I guess I'll share the details. I took one of the Craft Bags and cut off the bottom to make the bag shorter without losing the detail at the top of the bag. I then re-secured the bottom of the bag. I then added a belly band around the bag. I cut a slit in a doily and then fan folded it to add behind the 2.5" circle along with some gold foil thread. I stamped the circle with heart image from Bloomin' Love stamp set and popped it up with dimensionals. I thought it still needed something so I added some die cut flowers with rhinestones to the heart. It was the perfect touch.
I just love the way this project turned out. I hope you like it too!
